More of What We Believe

  • The Bible is the inspired story of God and it lays out the mission of His people. Timothy 3:16-17; Deuteronomy 29:29; Psalm 119:105

  • God, the Father, is the Creator. He is infinite and eternal. God is loving, all-knowing, all-powerful, always present, perfect in every way, in complete control and never changing. Genesis 1:1-31, 2:1; Psalm 90:2; 1 John 4:8, 3:20 & Hebrews 4:13; Luke 1:37; Psalm 139:3,5,7-10; Deuteronomy 32:4; Isaiah 46:9-10; Hebrews 6:17

  • God, the Son, is Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin and became human, lived an exemplary life, died for the sins of all and arose from the dead to live forever. Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 7:24-25

  • God, the Holy Spirit is the spiritual helper and guide for all Christ followers. John 16:5-15; Ephesians 1:13-14

  • Each person matters to God, but all people are dysfunctionally fractured from relationship with God because of sin (moral failing.) Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23; 1 John 1:

  • Forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life are available to anyone who believes in the name of Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son. Jesus is the only way to God. Identifying as a Christ Follower involves repentance of sin, confession of belief and baptism. 1 John 1:9; John 3:16, 14:6; Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38

  • Church refers to people, not buildings- A living body, of which, Jesus Christ is the Head. It exists to please God by: reaching out to people with the good news of Jesus Christ, acknowledging His nature through acts of heartfelt praise and deed, sharing in one another’s lives, learning to imitate Jesus Christ, and meeting the needs of people in our community. Ephesians 1:22, 4:1-32, 5:1-33

  • The future holds the return of Jesus Christ and the judgment of all people. Some will spend eternity with God in Heaven and others will live separate from Him forever. John 3:36; Matthew 13:37-43, 25:46
